Six Percent Growth
MAPAL, the manufacturer of precision tools, is continuing the trend of previous years in 2016. Consolidated group sales rose by around six percent from EUR 540 million in 2015 to EUR 575 million in 2016. “We are very happy with the result of the 2016 financial year”, emphasises President Dr Dieter Kress. “The result shows that we are on the right path with our projects and the orientation of the company.” Together with the increase in sales, the number of employees has also increased by four percent – from 4,800 to nearly 5,000 worldwide. In the meantime the MAPAL Group has over 3,400 employees in Germany.

“We assume that the positive development will continue“, announces Dr Dieter Kress. Because with innovations such as the open cloud platform c-Com, for example, MAPAL is setting the course for the future. “This year, among other things, we will be able to offer our customers a comprehensive, digital tool management based on c-Com”, announces Dr Jochen Kress, Member of the MAPAL Executive Board.

Investments
Together with investments in research and development, this year MAPAL is implementing several construction projects at international locations.
